Alaskabou - Tequila Sunrise
The Alaskabou fly pattern was first conceived by George Cook, and since it's original inception, it has been tied in numerous colour combinations. Our Alaskabou flies are all constructed with a flash body and palmered marabou. Palmering the marabou gives the fly a distinctive tear drop shape when drawn through the water. The Alaskabou has established a reputation as a great attractor fly for Steelhead, Coho Salmon, Pink Salmon, and Chum Salmon. The Alaskabou is fished by quartering downstream and retrieving the fly in short strips. The stripping takes advantage of the pulsing action of the marabou. The Tequila Sunrise Alaskabou uses pink, salmon orange and red marabou.
