Bloodspot Glo Eggs / Glo Bugs
Glo-eggs or Glo bugs as they are sometimes called are one of the most basic
flies to carry in your box and can account for large numbers of fish at certain
times of the year. The addition of the bloodspot helps give the fly a bit more natural look.
The best times of the year to use these flies is in the
spring right after spawning occurs or in the fall, again during spawning runs.
Check out the times of year the fish in your target rivers are spawning to
get a more accurate idea. Don't overlook the times that coarse fish spawn
as the game fish will likely be actively feeding on this spawn as well. Just
as when you fish with insect imitations, match the egg to what is present
in the streams. We recommend a variety of colors to suit varying conditions.
