Caddis Fly Adults
The adult stage of the Caddis fly is one of the most recognizable
flies. Patterns such the Elk Hair Caddis, CDC & Elk, Goddard Caddis and
Tom Thumbs. Caddis body and wing colour vary from region to region. Light
coloured wings are easy to spot on rough water and long distance casts, enabling
the fisherman to detect hits better. Hot butts on flies also add to their
attraction. having a fly that stands out may be just the ticket in a caddis
fly hatch. Use patterns like Elk Hair Caddis, ElK and CDC and X-Caddis for effective dry fly fishing all year round.
