Bead and Eyes
Eyes give flies a finished look, and it has been said time and again that a pattern with eyes outfishes one without.
Adding eyes to your minnow and streamer patterns help suggest realism. Using weighted dumbells and bead heads
will assist in getting the flies to the proper depth. Many patterns may be tied with or without a bead head such as the Zugbug,
Brassie and the Hare's Ear Nymph. Having both versions of a pattern is a great way to be prepared for changing conditions
and selective fish.
