Midges / Chironomids
Chironomids or Midges as they are commonly refered to as are another important food source for fish. The pupa are tubular and worm-like, living near the bottom of lakes and in the sand and mud. Bloodworms are often red or green in colour. Midges are the adult form f the insect and can make for some excellent dry fly fishing.
