Schlappen Leech Black

The Schlappen Leech works well in both low light and bright light conditions. The transparent beads give the the fly an attractive glow in bright conditions. The glass beads in the pattern also give the fly some extra weight to get it down quickly. In stillwaters, cast the fly, countdown as the fly sinks and use a varied retrieve. The Schlappen Leech also works well trolled at slow speeds. This variation is refereed to as The Bleeding Schlappen Leech due to the red beads used to trigger a strike. The Schlappen Leech is ideal for targeting trout and bass.
