Fly Tying Intruder Wire
This Intruder wire is used to connect hooks to fly tying shanks, commonly called intruder shanks. The with has a soft nylon coating and features a braided wire with 20b strength. We recommend the wire be doubled through the eye of the hook and tied along the side of the fly tying shank with the ends folded back and tied down. This ensures a secure connection that won’t slip when you connect with a decent sized fish. May also be used for tying tandem streamers. Use wire cutters to cut the wire into approx 4″ lengths for shanks. Shanks and hooks also available.
Wire is available in 10′ lengths which should cover about 30 shanks. Available in red, black, came and silver.
