Evil Weevil BH Nymph

The Evil Weevil is a favorite of western Anglers and has deep roots with the world-famous Bow River. The original pattern was developed by Calgary angler and fly tyer Jeremy Davis. The fly has an ideal profile for a bead head nymph and has become a staple for nymphing rivers of all sizes. This version of the Evil Weevil is a real confidence fly that includes a flashy dubbed body accented with a back strip of pearl mylar. The flies are tied on needle-sharp barbless Firehole 315 hooks with copper beads. The mylar body creates a natural look of trapped abdominal gases often seen in emerging aquatic insects.
