It's such a thrill to catch these awesome fish with our fly rods and 10 lb test leader it never gets old for us! These fish truly test your skills. Add in cohos, big browns, steelhead that you can connect with on any cast and the beautiful scenery and it's always a memorable trip! The Howard Norton Special is a fly from the popular series of Comet patterns. This Comet pattern was originated by Howard Norton of Sebastopol, CA. The fly was tied to be fished in the Russian River and gained popularity along the west coast steelhead corridor from California up to British Columbia.
